How Earshot handles your calls
Nothing is recorded. Here's exactly what happens, in plain words.
What Earshot hears
During a call, Earshot listens to your microphone and, if you share it, the audio of the browser tab your call is in. It turns speech into short signals: who is talking, for how long, and whether something from your call plan came up.
What happens to the audio
Nothing is recorded. In the browser, your voice is turned into text by Chrome (via Google) and the other person's by Lovable AI, a few seconds at a time. The audio snippets are thrown away and never saved. With the upcoming Mac app, listening will stay on your device.
What the AI sees
Your call plan and the latest few lines of the conversation, to suggest what to say next and write your recap. Each request is used once and not stored by the AI.
What reaches your account
The debrief: talk ratio, timings, the concerns heard with the short quote that triggered them, and your notes. Full transcripts only if you turn them on.
How long it's kept
You choose 30, 90 or 365 days in Settings. You can delete all your call data, download everything Earshot keeps about you, or delete your whole account at any time in Settings → Privacy.
What your lead sees
Team trends: total calls, average talk ratio, which concerns come up and how often they're followed up. A specific call only appears for your lead if you press “Share with team”.
When Earshot support can see your account
Only when you allow it. In Settings → Privacy you can let support view your account read-only for 7 days, and opening a support request turns this on for 7 days. Support can then see your calls, plans and debriefs to fix a problem, but can't change them. Every visit is logged with a reason, and you can switch access off at any time.
When Earshot is paused
The glow turns grey and nothing is heard. Press ⌥ P or click the notch to pause at any time.
A line you can say or paste at the start of a call
“Quick note: I use Earshot, a private coaching tool on my laptop. It doesn't record this call.”
